Taliesin – Poetry

Taliesin he was the holy bard
Taliesin knew more than most could know
Taliesin he liked to sing from his soul

Ceridwen, she had a black cauldron
Gwion, he tended it for a year and a day
The cauldron split in two falling on the ground

Fear! I must run, my mistress will be come undone!

Ceridwen's anger burned and raged across the plains
Taliesin was placed in the reeds of the cool cold marsh
A few years went by and Elfin was sure to find him

Hello! What child is this? have I been blessed today?
He said, I am Taliesin the golden bough
The shining how it goes on deep within the forest

Taliesin he was the holy bard
Taliesin knew more than most could know
Taliesin he liked to sing from his soul

Tell me who were you?
Tell me who were you?
Tell me who were you?
