Transcript:

A very good morning to you. I am so happy to see you this morning in prayer and meditation.

Maya Angelou said “nothing can dim the light that shines from within.” let’s let our light shine from within this morning. Please find a comfortable position. Peace be still and know I am God. Take in a deep breath through your nose and exhale through your mouth. You and I are amazing human beings. I’m so grateful to know each and every one of you. For your unique gifts that you give to the world.

The sacred text for today is from the book of Mathew chapter five verses fourteen through sixteen. You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under a bushel basket. But on the lamp stand and it gives light to the whole house. In the same way, let your light shine before others. So that they may see your good works and give glory to your father in heaven.

I’m so grateful that I don’t have to do any work to be the light of the world. I am the light. God is the light, therefore you are the light. Thank you, God, that we are the light. That we do shine into the darkness. Let our light shine out of the darkness. So that the world can know that there is but one presence and one power in our lives, God the good.

We light a candle in our heart space it is a representation of all that needs to be done. All that may need to be released. All that is accomplished. We pray for so many around the world suffering in isolation. Help them find the blessings within. I’m so grateful God that you led me to this path of prayer and meditation. That this isolation hasn’t been so touch. Because of my connection with you. I’m asking for prosperity for all the businesses and the people around the world. Open up the flood gates and allow people to be blessed so that they can simply live their lives. Prepare our hearts and the hearts of others. So that they can learn to be a little bit more gentle with themselves so that they can be a little more gentle with others. Peace be still and know that I am God. If there be anything in my heart O God that I haven’t prayed through on. That I haven’t forgiven. Show me this root deep within my soul. That i may be able to pull the weeds from my garden. Allow the beautiful flowers to flourish through forgiveness. Give me the strength to forgive. Heal the wounded hearts O God, that haven’t quite found their way to forgiveness just yet. So that they too would have the courage to forgive. Breathe in this beautiful moment beloved and exhale all that it took to get here.

Take in another deep breath in through your nose and exhale. Thank you, God, for the gift of stuttering and stammering that I might be just a little bit more humble. Take in another deep breath through your nose and exhale through your mouth. During this time of meditation know that you can return to the center. Simply by breathing in through your nose and exhaling through your mouth. Prayer is talking to God, meditation is listening as God talks to us. So beloved, I invite you to discover what God has to say this morning in the silence.

(Ten Minutes Of Silence)

It is such an amazing experience to be able to trim the wick on a daily basis. So that the flame, the light of the world can shine a little brighter. An anonymous author once said “but my darling, there is no such thing as the light at the end of the tunnel. You must realize that you are the light.” Martin Luther King said “darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.”

Please picture Madison Wisconsin in your mind. Your light shining bright. Peace be still and lay down your sword. Peace be still and be the light. I am the light of God.

The theme for today is Light Of The World. I will say the affirmation, then I will repeat it and I invite you to say it with me. This perfect peace is in me, and it heals the world. Together, This perfect peace is in me, and it heals the world.

Would you pray the blessing with me and picture the entire world as we say together. We love you we bless you we appreciate you and we behold the Christ you are. Do your little bit of good where you are. It is those little bits of good put all together. That overwhelm the world. Desmond Tutu. Be gentle with yourself first if you wish to be gentle with others. Be a lighthouse to the world rather than a storm. Go in peace beloved and Namaste.
