Today's Sacred Text
1 Peter 4:9-10
"Be hospitable to one another without complaining. Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.”
This day is a perfect gift.
I am grateful for the ability to love, this is powerful medicine
This morning, we arise. We think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive, to breathe, to think, to enjoy, and to love.
Please find a comfortable position. Maybe let your body relax. Settle into this particular moment in time. Table everything for another moment, another place. Just be, breathe in through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Breathe in peace through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
We are the light of the world. Through prayer and meditation we trim the wick. So that the flame can continue, to be a light.
Our sacred text this morning from the book of first peter chapter four, verses nine and ten. Be hospitable to one another without complaining. Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God. Serve one another, with whatever gift each of you has received. Thank you, God, that each one of us, has a unique perspective. A unique gift to share with one another. It is an amazing thing.
There is but one presence and one power in my life, and it’s God the good.
Know that God is everywhere, in everything. The sky, to the blade of grass, to you, and I. because God is within you and I. we light a candle in our heart space, an eternal flame to represent all of our prayer needs this morning. Where two or more are gathered, those prayers, those intentions… They are accomplished.
We pray for everyone around this world. Those suffering physically or even emotionally or mentally. We hold them up we see their perfect holy light within them. We see them whole and complete. We pray so much for financial security, and we envision a world that works for all. For both the business and the people around the world. We continue to ask for reparations. Let that spark in North Carolina become a ripple effect across these lands. Peace be still. We see ourselves as the face of God. So, we look out to our neighborhoods and there again… we see the face of God. May those in our neighborhoods, and our state, and our nation, or even the world… would see when they look upon others, the sacredness of each individual. The sacredness, the face of God in all people. The face of God in all creatures, the face of God in every living breathing being on this planet. From those that walk on the earth, to those that swim in the oceans.
Help us to be gentle with ourselves so that we can be gentle with others. Prepare our hearts that we would be able to forgive. Prepare the hearts of others, so that they too can forgive. Beloved breathe in this moment through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
Remember, during meditation anytime you need to return to the center. Simply breathe through your nose and exhale through your mouth. It is how we silence the monkey mind. I invite you to discover those innermost thoughts, the communion with God. In the silence.
(Ten Minutes Of Silent Meditation)
When you arise in the morning. Think of what a precious gift, a precious privilege it is to be alive. To breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love. That was written sometime around 170 AD by Marcus Aurelius.
The theme for today: This day is a perfect Gift.
I am grateful for the ability to love, this is powerful medicine. I will say that affirmation and then I invite you to say it with me. I am grateful for the ability to love, this is powerful medicine. Together, I am grateful for the ability to love, this is powerful medicine. Indeed, it is powerful medicine.
Thank you beloved for your presence this morning. I feel so connected to you. I invite you to pray this blessing with me for the world and for yourself. We love you, we bless you, we appreciate you and we behold the Christ you are.
Oprah Winfrey said the more you praise and celebrate your life. The more in life there is to celebrate. So I invite you to be a little more gentle with yourself so that you can be gentle with others. My personal mantra every day. Be a lighthouse to the world rather than the storm. Not here to fix anyone. Only to shine a light into the darkness. I truly believe that is how we repair the world. Go in peace beloved, Namaste.
