Homeless Needs
This list changes daily, please check back often
This will be the third year that I have run this program.
The first year was great, the second year even better. I appreciate the incredible amounts of giving that has been taking place.
There are between 250 and 300 homeless living in parks this year. It was sanctioned by the city.
The following are items that I get requests for daily:
Camping Needs
- Tarps for under the tents and over the top of them.
- Tents small, medium and Large capacity.
- Air mattresses and bedrolls
- Blankets and sleeping bags
- Small Generators
- Mr Heater Propane Heaters
Clothing
- Men and women, big, medium and small
- Winter Jackets and hoodies
- Thermals
- Underwear
- Socks
- Shoes and boots
- Winter knit hats and gloves
- disposable masks
Hygiene
- Soap
- Shampoo
- Toothbrushes
- Toothpaste
- Dental floss
- 3 blade open back disposable razors
- shaving cream
- Huggies unscented baby wipes
- Toilet paper
- small bottles of hand sanitizer
Miscellaneous
- Coolers of various sizes for food
- plastic bins with snap hinges and waterproof seals inside the lid
- Large storage bins that are lockable. farm and fleet has these for around 65 dollars.
- First Aid Items: Things for minor cuts and bruises, as well as items for stopping bleeding etc
- Instant Ice Packs
Items can be sent to our UPS Box, or if you are in the Madison Wisconsin area. Contact Reverend AJ for drop off at his residence. We don’t have an office yet.
