Children Of The Copper Fields – Poetry

In A room across the hall, I head the voices calling
so I ran to my window shade, and that's when I saw them playing

The children of another land, forever screaming come take my had
The children of the copper fields
All that glitters is as gold, but in the end it's only copper

So lost and filled with sorrow, They still search for tomorrow
All that glitters is as gold, but in the end A heavy load

The children of another land, forever screaming come take my hand
The children of the copper fields
All that glitters as god, but in the end it's only copper

They toil day after day, just trying to earn a little pay
Slipping in the daily grind
All that glitters is as gold, but in the end they've sold their soul

The children of another land forever screaming come take my hand
The children of the copper fields
All that glitters is as god, but in the end a heavy load
