I'm Dreaming Of A White Easter
Greetings, I hope that today you are finding your way on this snowy day at the end of March.
This morning I woke up to begin my daily ritual of taking care of Hutchies' needs. I get dressed and open the blinds to see what type of weather I am dealing with. It had been raining off and on all week. I was surprised to see snow outside. I recognized it for what it was. Altered my course and put on snow boots instead of my slip-on shoes. A safer journey for me with a rambunctious puppy!
This week's topic is linked below. It is important to accept, and adjust our methods so that we can achieve our objective. My plan all along was to get Hutch outside. But I had to adjust that plan in order to accommodate for unseen weather conditions. I could have decided to be rigid and not be flexible on the shoes I put on. I could have chosen to decide that I was going to force spring by wearing my no tread walking shoes. If I had, I ran the risk of the potential for calamity to strike. I took a pretty hard fall last December with a similar amount of snow outside. We learn from our mistakes and adjust our sails in the future.
I apologize for releasing this a day late. I am moving rather slowly these days from the constant back pain.
I hope that you are willing to be or remain open-minded about situations that come along. So that you in turn can remain at peace, Namaste - Reverend AJ
This week I picked up several cookie jars for the various puppy treats that I have. The counter was starting to get a little buried with bags of stuff. No, he is not spoiled at all.
I am very grateful that the tests came back negative for that intestinal bug his sister recently picked up. We continue to keep them at a distance until she is clear. Hutch misses her a lot.
This is his "I'm Beautiful!" pose.
Adjust Your Sails To Compensate
This week I discovered a quote by Jimmy Dean. "You can't change the wind, but you can adjust your sails."
That was the inspiration for this week's topic. Being flexible in order to cope with a skillful mindset that gives breath to the situation in the form of critical thinking skills.
Recording Artist Jonny Nash had released several albums prior to the release of the I can see clearly now album. It was his breakthrough recording that gave him the hit status. The song was written and produced in 1972.
