WORLD HISTORY

The purpose of life on earth is to achieve union with our fundamental, enlightened nature. the task... is to realize and embody our true being.

Sogyal Rinpoche

It seems that in this modern industrialized time period. That most have lost connection with their core being. That inner part of you that knows the truth when it hears it.
grin man
Sogyal Rinpoche in his book Tibetan book of living and dying, declares that the chameleon is an unhappy soul. One who inflicts drama upon others around them. They are continuously in self conflict and contradict inner core values.

I quote Rinpoche again -

Our society promotes cleverness instead of wisdom, and celebrates the most superficial, harsh, and least useful aspects of our intelligence. We have become so falsely sophisticated, and neurotic that we take doubt itself for truth, and the doubt that is nothing more than ego's desperate attempt to defend itself from wisdom is deified as the goal and fruit of true knowledge.

I have noticed, at least in the gay life. The average homosexual has an middle school mentality. To include all the drama that comes with it. But here is the sad part of it all. Unlike middle school, these adult high chair tyrants, have no parental controls. So they go on hurting and being hurt by others.

One last quote from Rinphoche,

so ego, then, is the absence of true knowledge of who we really are, together with its result; a doomed clutching on, at all costs, to a cobbled together and makeshift image of ourselves, an inevitably chameleon charlatan self that keeps changing and has to, to keep alive the fiction of its existence.

ClownThe one who prides himself on being a player, has no real true substance. He is merely a good act. He "outsources" his wisdom, taking in others paths, and pretending it is his own way of life. The problem with outsourcing a belief, is that the chameleon doesn't truly grasp the importance of the vedic he is concluding to be his.

This flippant individual will leave many shipwrecked. Pretending to be friends, but full of deceit. Friends will be loyal to this player, but the player could care less what his friends truly are about. These generally speaking live without a code. They can be recognized as lawless people. Individuals who respect no one's boundaries. Forever looking for new opportunities.

The ignorance of a player is unprecedented. This is the true folly of a fools paradise. During the day pretending to be honorable and filled with integrity. But always looking for an opportunity to take and consume someone else fortune. The wise soul looks upon another to see if they had a teacher. Those who doubt silver threads, have not had much teaching or instruction. In the end it is their destruction. These chameleons and players should be avoided like one avoids fire. Stay back a little bit, the fire will warm you. Touch it... it burns the flesh right off. Keeping a Chameleon at arms length can be a warm feeling. Invite such an individual into your bedroom, you may loose yourself.
