SOL
--Latin for the Sun--
By Ari John White Wolf
Growing
up I had the pleasure of Hunting on State Lands along the Wisconsin
River. This state has some intense energy. You can feel some really
incredible power in some of the more rural places.
Later on in life I would rediscover these same lands. The feeling never
went away. It is still there to this day. I would camp out for days at
a time there. The freedom that you felt as a result of it was
incredible.

This song was all about those
experiences.
---
Seven
long days and the rain kept falling down
Seven
more days and the rain kept falling down
The
sun been up for two, I think it chose to stick around
Went
to my secret place down by the river
Went
to my secret place on the nice warm sand
now
if you were not there it would have been so nice to see you to
The
river run through it wild, the river run through it wild
looked
across the river, I thought I could see the face of G-d
Out
there on faerie bluff, you just might see the wind
there's
a sleeping dragon, he been there for a hundred years or so.
Just
hanging out on the river, on the nice warm sand
my
friends and I are just hanging out by the river
now
if you were not there it would have been so nice to see you to
(narative)
Kick
your shoes off, but be careful
because
here the sand gets really really hot
The river run through it wild, the river run through it wild
looked across the river, I thought I could see the face of G-d
Out there on faerie bluff, you just might see the wind
there's a sleeping dragon, he been there for a hundred years or so.
This is holy ground, this is
holy ground, this is holy ground
