Namaste
By Ari John White Wolf
I
wrote this so that my soul could lament. I was severely defeated and
destroyed in november of 2006. There didn't seem like much worth holding onto. I
was in a rediculous relationship with two others. one for eleven years.
The other one for around five. My home had not been a safe place for me
in many years. It was all about reshaping and fixing me. Finally they would
report to the police that I had gotten violent with them. Truth is they both had physically assaulted me.
It wasn't that november day, that they broke my heart. They had been doing
it for years. One of them regularly got falling down drunk. Then would
hook up with strangers. without a condom, letting them practice unsafe sex. This
is a small glimpse of the hell I was in. Then I broke it off, and they
had to go away. They were not the people I was in love with. They think
they fooled me. I am well aware of the lies and games.
When I wrote this. I realized at that point that only divinity within
me. Could restore me to my shine. That is the focus of the song. It is
a healing lamentation. Sometimes you must severe relationships with
caustic friends. Before they absolutely take you down with them.
---
I called to my lover, won't
you step out from the shadows
he said no, it looks like rain, it looks like rain
Namaste, Namaste, it's all that I can say, Namaste
I'll be okay, some day, namaste, o namaste
If love was a job, you should have been fired
I should have walked away, on any given day
all the mean things you did, was never okay
Namaste, Namaste, it's all
that I can say, Namaste
I'll be okay, some day, namaste, o namaste
You're not even close to the
best i've ever had
you'll never know love, the
way that I loved you
every day I get rid of another
piece of you
Namaste, Namaste, it's all that I can say, Namaste
I'll be okay, some day, namaste, o namaste
I started running, into the sun, I left you behind
no your not the one, you in the shadows
now I'm running for the sun.
Namaste, Namaste, it's all that I can say, Namaste
I'll be okay, some day, namaste, o namaste
